Our home care services are billed per hour, with no variation based on the level of care needed—so you always know what to expect. For caregiver travel during a shift, a mileage rate of $0.95 per mile is applied

Service agreements are completed prior to the start of care to ensure clarity, consistency, and a smooth onboarding experience. Caregiver schedules are finalized and published each Thursday.
For clients receiving 24/7 care, we kindly request a two-week notice prior to ending services. These guidelines help us provide reliable, uninterrupted care while supporting our dedicated caregiving team.

To ensure consistent, high-quality care for both our clients and caregivers, Compass maintains a minimum home care service requirement of four hours per visit. This also serves as our weekly minimum commitment. This structure allows us to provide dependable, attentive care while supporting the well-being and stability of our dedicated caregiving team.

Compass offers both overnight and 24-hour care, tailored to meet each client’s unique needs and preferences. We provide flexible, around-the-clock coverage designed to ensure safety, comfort, and continuity of care at all times. Overnight care is typically scheduled in 12-hour shifts, allowing clients to enjoy uninterrupted rest while having the reassurance of a dedicated caregiver present. Our goal is to deliver dependable support whenever it’s needed most—day or night.

At Compass Concierge and Companions, we understand that the need for care can arise unexpectedly - and we are prepared to respond with both urgency and intention. In time-sensitive situations, we are often able to begin services the same day, and in some cases, within just a few hours of your initial inquiry.
For ongoing care, we take a more tailored approach. Our team carefully curates a caregiver (or dedicated team) whose skills, experience, and personality align seamlessly with your needs. This thoughtful matching process can take a few days, depending on your requested schedule, level of care, and caregiver availability.

Rather than operating within strict geographic boundaries, we take a personalized approach to each inquiry. Our ability to provide care in a given area depends on your specific needs, schedule, and caregiver availability.

Compass and its caregivers bring a strong foundation of training, experience, and compassion to every client they serve. Our team includes professionals with experience in specialized areas such as dementia care, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and Parkinson’s care, as well as Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Personal Support Specialists (PSSs).

Our team includes a Certified Positive Approach to Care Trainer, allowing us to provide ongoing, hands-on education and support to our caregivers.
Through regularly scheduled trainings, our caregivers stay current with the latest advancements in dementia care and research—ensuring they are equipped with the skills, techniques, and empathy needed to support each client with confidence and respect.

Home care with Compass Concierge and Companions is designed to support independence, comfort, and quality of life—while providing peace of mind for clients and their families.
Our caregivers assist with a wide range of daily needs from companionship only to hands-on assistance with daily needs. Caregivers are equipped to provide full support with bathing, dressing, and toileting in accordance to the clients lifestyle. We will transport and accompany clients to medical appointments, social outings, grocery shopping, and visits with friends or family—even enjoying a meal out together.
We also provide light housekeeping support, such as laundry, vacuuming, dusting, and maintaining clean living spaces, including kitchens and bathrooms. For larger tasks, caregivers can help with projects like organizing cupboards or cleaning out the refrigerator.
To support health and wellness, we offer medication reminders, helping clients stay on track by prompting them when it’s time to take medications and checking pill organizers when needed.
Our caregivers can assist with pet care needs too! Some are TOTAL pet lovers and enjoy dog walking, feeding pets, and maintaining clean environments such as litter box care—helping ensure beloved companions are well cared for too.
Equally important, our caregivers focus on engagement and companionship—creating activities, encouraging hobbies, and promoting meaningful social interaction to keep clients active, connected, and fulfilled.

If a caregiver is unable to make their scheduled shift, we will arrange for a qualified replacement to ensure your care continues without interruption.

Absolutely. Compass Concierge and Companions provides care seven days a week, including weekends and holidays, so you can count on support whenever it’s needed most.

Yes. Our management team keeps our business line available after hours for urgent needs, ensuring you always have access to support in case of an emergency.

We provide weekly invoicing for services. Payments can be made conveniently through ACH (online transfer) or by mailed check.

We are a private pay provider; however, we can supply all necessary documentation to help you seek reimbursement through your long-term care insurance policy, if applicable.

No, we do not require a deposit. Services are invoiced on the first Tuesday following the start of care, making it easy to begin services without upfront costs.

Once you connect with our team and confirm your interest in services, a member of our management team will schedule an in-home assessment. During this visit, we take the time to truly get to know the client—their routine, preferences, interests, and any specific care needs.
From there, our scheduler thoughtfully matches a caregiver based on both skill set and personality, ensuring a strong and comfortable fit. Once a start date is established, we coordinate everything needed for a smooth transition into care.
Our support doesn’t stop there—our management team provides ongoing check-ins with both the client, their family, and caregivers to ensure everything is going well. We remain flexible and responsive, making adjustments as needed to maintain the highest level of care and satisfaction.
